Consider Extra Days on Land – Most charters don't allow boarding until late in the afternoon and require disembarkation early in the morning. Booking a couple of nights in accommodation before or after your charter can make for a more relaxed start or finish to your trip.

Mooring Considerations – Many of the best mooring options in Croatia require either a fee or dining at a restaurant that maintains the moorings. These facilities are usually well-maintained and much easier to use than anchoring in a busy area. Vis – This island gets a lot of great press for a reason—it's spectacular. On the far side, Komiza is a beautiful harbour with a great atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed Konoba Jastozera, a stunning old structure built over the water. You can even row or paddleboard into the restaurant, which makes for a unique and memorable arrival before sitting down to an incredible meal.

Hvar – An incredible island with multiple options for an overnight stop:

Milna – Just a short distance from Hvar Town, this quiet bay offers moorings where a local fishing family picks you up directly from your boat. They serve the catch of the day in their waterfront restaurant, where you can watch the sunset before they take you back to your boat after dinner.
Stari Grad – Located on the opposite side of Hvar, this centrally located port has a fantastic old town to explore. The bay around Stari Grad also has good mooring options for a short stop on the water.
Hvar Town – An unmissable destination, but be aware that mooring against the old town wall can be tricky and uncomfortable due to the strong surge. There is a brilliant marina on the adjacent island. This marina has beaches, restaurants, and a fast ferry to Hvar Town, making it a far easier and stress-free option to be securely moored just 10 minutes away.
