Yachtmaster
skills assessment
Start your journey with an on-water assessment on your boat with Neil.

Anyone considering a Yachtmaster needs to run through an on water pre-assessment with Neil. This lasts for four hours and we would encourage you to have crew on board who you would like to train with for the exam.

During this time we will test you on a range of elements of the Yachtmaster syllabus including navigation, boat handling, man overboard, safety, meteorology, adverse weather management, your skippering ability and your eligibility to sit practical exams.

This session allows you to gain an understanding of where you already competent to a Yachtmaster level and the which areas require further skill development.

It is possible to assess two people on the boat within this session, if you do not have a boat then we can organise a vessel for you to be assessed on.

Please note this is NOT a Yachtmaster Exam, it is an assessment to understand what your Yachtmaster pathway will need.
"The whole course has been an amazing experience, it’s now a question of where to from here, which is quite a fun question to contemplate!"
